July 26-August 9

TJ went to clinic with us on July 28. Brinley found a doctors kit to play with. TJ got all of his vitals done just like she does. She had fun being the doctor instead of the patient. ;)  she says "he has a good heart"
Our clinic visit went perfectly. Brinley did great. She wasn't nervous. She didn't even complain when she was accessed. The blood back draw work perfectly. Chemo was ready and was given quickly. We didn't have one set back or complication. Except for that I got puked on once and had to catch it once. So when they flushed her for the access she threw up. We got a bucket almost in time and got my leg. Not bad. Then just as we get to the back she started again and that one I caught 95% of it before we got the bag.  At least we got to see her Mac n cheese twice today.😬 But really are we really moms if we don't get pucked on, on a regular basis? But she was much happier and way more relaxed.   I think we were only there for like an hour in a half.  TJ takes the credit for such a great day at clinic. Says everything works out when he's there. Haha.
Brinley's numbers dropped extremely! Her ANC is 100. So we have to be very cautious and keep her mostly home.
So another week of steroids. We had one week off and then another week on. She was insanely hungry!!! She ate an entire bag of frozen chicken tenders from Costco in one week. Crazy. She pretty much sat in the kitchen ordering food and eating. Her diet consisted of grilled chicken, Mac & cheese and noodles we died pink.  Izzy won't leave her side with all that chicken. Waiting for a little snack. Brin is happy to share with her. :)
She has been very tired. I find her sleeping somewhere most days. She doesn't have a lot of energy so she mostly is laying around watching movies.
She is playing with her ears again. I think it must be a comfort thing for her. She folds it over and pushes it into her ear.
This past week (August 4-10) she has been off steroids. Yay!!! It's taken most of the week for her mood to get more steady. Not so extreme with its ups and downs. Her appetite is getting less but it is still pretty much all day eating. She put on some wieght from the steroids. Which is good because the next 4 or so weeks are supposed to be harder then the past 4. Her next chemo (starts Monday August 11) is supposed to be very nauseating. She will get chemo 4 days in a row two weeks in a row. So Monday thru Thursday for the next two weeks. They will access her on Monday in clinic and then we will go home with her accessed. This will be our first time leaving the hospital accessed. . Kind of nervous for that. Then a home nurse will come to the house and give her doses on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday.

We went to the alpine days parade. Had fun getting the candy. The boys stayed after the parade and played on the blow up slides. Brinley and I went home for a nap.
We went back for the fireworks. They were awesome.

Sunday (10th) she has a blood draw because she is "count dependent" for chemo on Monday. Her ANC needs to be 750 in order for her to get chemo on Monday.
