March 12th: Lymphoblastic Leukemia

Hi, this is Brinley's sister, Chelsea.

Yesterday, on March 12th, our sweet little girl Brinley was diagnosed with Lymphoblastic Leukemia.

A couple weeks prior, Brinley showed signs and symptoms of looking very pale, tired/ low energy, cold all the time, and had dark circles under her eyes.  It continued to get worse so my mom took her in to see the doctor on March 11th.  She got her blood taken and a few hours later my parents got a call from the doctor with the blood test results saying you need to admit Brinley into Primary Children's Hospital tonight.  Her Hemoglobin is a 3 and 14 is normal.  After my dad and Russ gave Brinley a blessing, they rushed to the hospital.

Brinley and my parents arrived at the hospital around 10pm.  They got settled in a room and began blood transfusions immediately after determining her blood type.  Around 2pm that next day, is when we got the diagnosis.

We know she will beat this.  She is such a strong, amazing little girl.  Keep her in your prayers as the long journey just began.
